RESEARCH OF NEW PRODUCTS AND SYSTEMS

In our Lab-Rail we collaborate with companies interested in R+D+ I during the management, coordination and supervision of the projects. Our LAB-RAIL is integrated within the company's project team. We carry out the following activities, among others:

 - Analysis of adequacy and /or contrast of the objectives of R+D projects to the existing normative and technical requirements. ISA / WOBO Requirements

- Analysis and recommendations for the certification and accreditation of developed railway products and systems. RAM requirement

- Review of design and internal and external interfaces

- Analysis of the reliability of the SW and recommendations against possible cyber attacks (Cyber Security)

- Evaluation and assessment of technical and development risk. Recommendation to avoid it

- Lab-Rail can carry out specific HW and SW developments of the projects in which it participates


Also, we have developed the following projects in the last 15 years:

- Staff Protection System for the ERTMS of The Following Lines in Spain: Segovia-Valladolid HSL and Córdoba-Málaga HSL

- SISOCO: Control system for Automation of Scenes in maneuvers of Dockage with integration in a navigator Simulatior

- Implementation of the simultaneous Multi-Access funcionality from different combined technologies TSAD for “Concentrator of Operation Detectors”, Spain

- GENERAH: Design of an UPS for Power Generation and Control By Means of Renewal energies. UPS for Critical Applications

- CORAIL PROJECT: Development of a new generation of sustainable Stocks for Railways. Research on Catenary poles and acoustic Screens.

- ENRAL: Study to Obtain the maximum profit from the power supply using renewal power plants.

- EMAD: Expert assistance system for switch maintenance

- FEROTA: Research and Development in GSM-R Mobile Communications

- SIDECOM: Dispatcher system for mobile communications

- VIDMON: Surveillance video system

- TIBALAC: Data transmission through the overhead line

- WSPSP: Enhancement of the available information regarding the position of the maintenance workers. Thus enabling a better supervision related to the interaction between traffic and maintenance works

- GLIS: dynamic Evacuation System that controls the incident location and the amount of people inside a facility in order to indicate the best exit route available at every moment.


Some of the Products that have been developed as a result of the R&D projects mentioned before are:

- A dispatcher system that manages the GM-R Calls and uptades the information system state

- GDAT: Document management system for keeping the information in order and classified. It also provides a fast recovery by high quality

- SARA: Remote system for antennas, aiming to operate in local and remote mode

- TPP: Remote access to the control centre for on-site track operations

- SIDES DUAL SYSTEM FOR SENSOR ASSESSMENT. Collection and treatment of the necessary information for performing preventive and corrective maintenance actions on track

- WSPSP: Enhancement of the available information regarding the position of the maintenance workers, Thus enabling a better supervision related to the interaction between traffic and maintenance works

- TRASVASE: Hydraulic distribution channels simulator for provifing support to the operation channels

- GLIS: dynamic Evacuation System that controls the incident location and the amount of people inside a facility in order to indicate the best exit route available at every moment

- ANTIFLYING BALLAST: new sleeper offers added performance in the field of ballast flight and track geometry stability over those already demonstrated by traditional sleepers reducing maintenance
